Sir Alan Sugar gives businessman his marching orders

Majid Nagra became the latest contestant to get the boot on The Apprentice last night.

The businessman was called into the boardroom when his Empire team lost the fitness equipment design task.

Sir Alan Sugar, 62, claimed Majid, 28, did not do enough to stand out.

‘I can’t really have people who are perceived not to contribute,’ he said. ‘Maj, you’re fired.’

But Majid thinks Sir Alan made the wrong decision.

‘There’s no way I should have been fired — Sir Alan got it totally wrong,’ he says.

‘It’s pretty obvious that he just got rid of me because I’ve got a better beard. He’s jealous because his is so scruffy.’

Meanwhile, the BBC has apologised after the result was leaked on the show’s official website yesterday morning.

In the video section, there was a link to a clip called ‘Majid, You’re Fired!

‘The link was removed as soon as the mistake was realised,’ a spokesman tells The Sun.

‘New procedures have been put in place to ensure this doesn’t happen again.’
