Sir Alan Sugar tires of telesales executive's excuses for poor performance

Michael Sophocles became the latest candidate to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar on The Apprentice last night.

The telesales executive was given the boot when his team Renaissance lost a luxury car rental task.

Along with Helene Speight, 32, and Claire Young, 28, the group made only £2,114 compared with Alpha‘s takings of £11,815.

Sir Alan, 61, was fuming at Michael, 25, who chose a poor location to market the lavish motors.

He said he was tired of giving him chances.

‘You’ve been in this boardroom before a few times,’ he said.

‘It’s a tough one but I think I have to say to you: “You’re fired.”‘

There are now 5 candidates left on the show.
