Drama wins more trophies than Coronation Street and EastEnders

C4’s Hollyoaks has triumphed at the British Soap Awards, winning 6 trophies including Best Actor for Chris Fountain and Best Actress for Emma Rigby.

Coronation Street scooped 5 awards and EastEnders took home 4.

The glitzy ceremony was held last night at BBC Television Centre in London.

Some wnners were chosen by viewers, others by a panel of judges.

The British Soap Awards will be shown on ITV1 on Wednesday at 8.00pm.
