X Factor star is said to be keen to appear on hit BBC show

Sharon Osbourne is being lined up to star on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

She quit as a judge on The X Factor last week over a rumoured pay dispute – and it’s thought signing up for the rival BBC show would be the perfect way to get her revenge.

‘It would make one hell of a TV battle, so don’t be surprised to see her hitting the dance floor,’ says a source.

It’s not the first time Sharon, 55, has been linked to the programme.

‘Early last year Sharon was meant to appear in Dancing With The Stars, the US version of Strictly, but she had to pull out to have an operation,’ the insider tells The Sun.

‘She’s always wanted to do it, so what better time to put on her dancing shoes and go up against The X Factor than when the shows starts again in September?’
