Former Olympic athlete was unhappy with Dancing On Ice judge's comments
Sharron ended up in the skate-off against Inbetweeners star Emily Atack and lost out.
‘Thank you very much for the experience – I will not be hanging up my skates,’ she told viewers. ‘I shall carry on going down to the Swindon ice rink and doing my skating.’
Sharron had battled injury to stay in the competition and had taken some flack from the judges.
Jason Gardiner compared her to poo earlier in the series when she wore a brown costume.
‘It was like watching faecal matter before it’s flushed,’ said Jason. ‘It just goes round and round.’
Sharron, 47, was pleased the public turned on him.
‘Jason‘s taken a battering in the media and on websites, and I can’t say I’m too sorry,’ she told the Daily Mirror.
‘We’re taking part in a family entertainment programme. Surely that’s not the place for crude and unconstructive comments?
‘Even by his standards he has taken his role of pantomime villain too far and now just seems determined to shock.
‘We expect criticism from judges and are willing to listen. When they are vindictive and attention-seeking I think they are best ignored.’
Jason, 44, has since apologised for his remarks.
TV watchdog Ofcom received a number of complaints from viewers.
