Mary Berry accidently let slip who was the next contestant to leave the Great British Bake Off while on Chris Evan’s Radio 2 show
Guys, we’ve just had to ring our spoiler alarm. Prepare yourselves because we’re about to drop a big ol’ bake off bombshell on you that we have no doubt will be the biggest shock to your day.
While speaking to Chris Evans on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, talking about tonight’s bread episode, she said: ‘We’ve lost three.’
Now, you and I and Chris all know that only two contestants have gone – rocker Stu and the lovely Mary.
Chris was just as confused as we were asking, ‘have we lost three?’
To which Mary replied – now, here’s the part that the spoiler comes in so if you don’t want to know who leaves tonight, LOOK AWAY NOW.
We repeat, BAKE OFF SPOILER COMIN’ THROUGH
‘Yes we have. We lost Mary last week, Dorret, and on the first week it was our lovely chap with his little hat on.’
Ahhh MB– how could you do this to us!
To be fair though, the series was filmed MONTHS in advance, and she’s one of the busiest 80-year-olds we know! So we don’t blame her for her slip up.
The 49-year-old radio show host tried his best to rectify the situation, saying: ‘But you’ve only lost two so far. There’s another one tonight, you know that but we don’t.’
And bless Mary, she tried to recover from her mistake.
‘Oh yeah…then if we lost another one tonight…’
All’s forgiven is you bake us a Victoria Sponge and we can come round for a cuppa Mezza B.
The two laughed it off and talked about the showstopper on tonight’s bread bake, which Mary said was ‘absolutely amazing’ and ‘one of the best results’ they’ve ever had.
And of course, with Paul Hollywood being a master baker, Mary said that he was in ‘his absolute prime.’
Oh M-Bizzle, we still love you!
