Strictly Come Dancing judge will miss banter

Craig Revel Horwood says Alesha Dixon won’t be a patch on his pal Arlene Phillips.

The singer, 30, is replacing the 66-year-old as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing.

‘She knows quite a bit about dance because she’s been through the series and won it, so she’s been trained by professionals and the best,’ says Craig.

‘But a celebrity contestant can never match someone who has been dancing their entire lives, who has been competitive and in professional competitions.’

Craig, 44, isn’t sure if he’ll bond with Alesha in the same way.

‘It’s going to be different because Arlene and I argued a lot and had a lot of banter,’ he says.

‘And I don’t know if Alesha and I will do that. I don’t have a clue what will come out of her mouth, actually.

Meanwhile, Arlene has reportedly been asked to choreograph the group dances for the new series.

Arlene may not be a judge any more,’ a show source tells The Sun. ‘But we still want her on board as her expertise is unparalleled.’
