Peri Sinclair lost her mother earlier this month
The mother of ex-TOWIE star Peri Sinclair died after a barn at her Essex home collapsed during a violent storm earlier this month.
Mandy Fowell was crushed on 7 February when a tree crashed into a storage building at the house she shared with her partner in Abridge.
Firemen rescued her from the rubble and paramedics treated her for leg injuries but she began to struggle for breath and suffered a cardiac arrest.
An ambulance rushed the 49-year-old to hospital in an ambulance but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Peri, 22, later paid tribute to her mum by putting up a message in the window of the card shop they ran together in Brentwood, where some scenes of the hit ITV2 reality show were filmed.
It read: ‘In lovely memory of our beautiful Mandy Fowell. Forever in our hearts 1965-2014.’
A funeral service for Mandy was held yesterday and TOWIE stars have sent their support to Peri, who joined the programme in 2011 before leaving a year later.
‘My thoughts and best wishes are with Peri and her family at this very difficult time,’ Joey Essex told the Daily Mail.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: ‘There were no suspicious circumstances and it appears to be a case of a tragic accident.’
