Axed X Factor contestant Treyc Cohen is not bitter that Katie Waissel survived sing-off

Treyc Cohen isn’t blaming mentor Cheryl Cole for her X Factor exit.

The Birmingham babe and Katie Waissel ended up in the sing-off last night but the Girls Aloud star refused to decide between her acts.

Instead the other judges voted 2-1 to send Treyc, 27, home.

Some fans believe that if the panel had reached deadlock, and the viewers had been allowed to decide the outcome, Katie, 24, would have got the boot.

‘I’m not bitter at all,’ says Trecy. ‘When Cheryl said that she couldn’t pick – I completely understand why she never.’

Treyc accepts that Cheryl, 27, didn’t want to appear as if she favoured one of her girls more than the others.

‘I don’t think Cheryl let me down,’ she told This Morning. ‘She gave me as much time as she did the other girls…

‘I am OK [about it], at the judges’ houses I got the “no” and I thought that was it, then Cheryl came to my house with the wild card, so anything else was a bonus.’
