Shock result as teenager ends up bottom in public vote
Although Wagner Carrilho, 54, can barely hold a tune, viewers voted him through again, though some of the audience did boo.
Aiden, 18, sang in the sing-off first and performed his individual version of Don’t Dream It’s Over. Katie, 24, followed with a poignant Save Me From Myself.
As they waited for the judges’ verdict, Aiden had the chain around his neck in his mouth.
Simon dithered, saying he liked them both before saving Katie. Cheryl also saved her act, Katie. Dannii, of course, saved Aiden.
Louis sent home Katie, leaving a deadlock.
Dermot O’Leary announced that the act who received the fewest votes from the public was Aiden.
The audience jeered and Katie looked amazed.
‘You win some, you lose some,’ said Aiden. ‘My friend said there was a leak on Twitter and I was third from bottom, so I was kind of expecting it.
‘What I want now is a beer.’
