Controversial contestant obsessed with Toxic singer
X Factor’s latest controversial hopeful Kitty Brucknell wants fame – a lot.
The wannabe star, 26 – who impressed the judges with her rendition of The Edge Of Glory on Saturday night’s show, is a huge Britney Spears fan and has previously worked as a Britney tribute act.
The Cheltenham-born singer even tracked down Brit‘s music producer Tsour Lee Adato online and flew to New York to meet him.
Tsour, who also worked as Britney’s bodyguard and was rumoured to have dated her, put Kitty up at his flat for two weeks.
She has a good voice but she just needed to stop singing like Britney and more as herself,’ Tsour, 34, tells the Star on Sunday.
Kitty has also toured as a Lady Gaga tribute act under the name Kimberley Dayle and worked as Christina Aguilera lookalike, a revelation that has caused X Factor fans to question her eligibility to compete.
Kitty has worked as an impersonator and has appeared on TV and radio, but this is not linked to The X Factor,’ a spokesman for the show tells the Daily Record.
‘She is eligible to enter as she has no record or management deal.’
